Bio
I'm fascinated by the idea of our bodies, our beings, as vessels for experience. These complex libraries of all we are and can become hold so much information - our past experiences, our un-manifest future potential, our hopes, dreams, joys, sorrows, fears, desires and so much more. Through yoga we can draw from another rich archive of teachings to welcome all of us onto the mat - the good, the bad, the ugly - and give it the space to be, breathe, shift or grow. I’ve been practicing yoga for over fifteen years and believe it to be a transformative discipline for anyone and everyone.
Offerings
Vinyasa: I teach an uplifting, breath-led flow at a pace where the integrity of each pose and transition can be upheld, and strength and flexibility can be cultivated in equal measure.
Yin: a largely floor based practice where poses are held near or at the point of stretch held for up to five minutes. This may sound ‘easy’ but I speak from personal experience when I say that five minutes in a pose someone else has picked for you can be an equally challenging experience as a strong flow, albeit it a different way, It is a wonderful practice to deep dive into exploring physical and mental boundaries.
Restorative: a deeply calming, nourishing and largely supine practice where props and blankets are used to fully support the body in each pose, before the point of stretch, to allow for full relaxation and rejuventation.
