B I N D : Bharadvajasana Variation. I use the word variation in reference to my personal exploration and understanding of this pose through my body: I like a wider base in it than it's 'supposed' to have. It helps me feel more grounded and facilitates length in my spine as I gently turn, rather than full twist right up through the cervical spine. Tucking my hand fully under the front knee also doesn't work for my (apparently tiny T-Rex arms) dimensions. It creates stooping in my shoulders and, frankly, feels a bit crap. And that's ok. It's just one of the ways our practice and the poses can meet us where we are actually at, rather than where we think we should be.
